mum, camilla and i went to a chinese restaurant yesterday since it was mother's day. camilla and i had a blast, but mum seemed a lil grumpy...:/

the day has come.. i'm 24... might as well bury me now..

i just got back from work.. been working all afternoon and before that i was at uni... i was gonna write something clever about the da vinci code movie, but i'm so tired i'm about to fall over, so it can wait till tomorrow. g'night.... x x

i was watching the news a few days ago and they said that the christian part of norway was declaring war on the da vinci code movie, cuz they are worried that ppl will start believing the movie is true.

i read the book a while back, and i think it's very good. wrong, but good. it says that Jesus got married and had children and never died on the cross and that the church knows this and is hiding it from the world. leonardo da vinci plays a big part in the book because he painted a lot of christian paintings. "the last supper" is one of them and it allegedly shows Jesus next to a woman, supposedly the woman he married. the book also says that leonardo wasn't a christian, but was a member of some kind of cult which knew the truth about Jesus.

so here's the problem with the believing the book as i see it: first of all the foundation of all of christianity is that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind. if he never died on the cross, there would be no christianity. so if the whole foundation of the christian church was gone, why would christians cover that up? they would have nuthin to believe in themselves, so they wouldn't wanna try to make others believe it.

the second thing is that even if leonardo painted Jesus next to a woman he allegedly married, it doesn't change anything. leonardo prolly wasn't even a christian, he was paid to paint the picture by the catholic church. it doesn't change what it says in the bible.

so the only reason ppl would believe the book is true, is cuz they're that desperate to believe Jesus was a fraud. i see it all the time. ppl will believe just about anything to get out of believing there is a God. just like when darwin made his theory of evolution. most ppl think it's a proven fact now, but if you look at it closely enough you'll see it's so full of flaws that it's a miracle anyone can believe in it.

in conclusion: ppl will believe whatever they want to believe, regardless of evidence.
