oscar's law

This is the blog of a Norwegian (Marianne, aka 'M') who moved to Australia in 2007 to be with Roger (aka R) and feels lucky to have escaped a comparatively communistic country with ridiculous weather!

Chrome

Posted in 'Random stuff' on April 8, 2010

I have previously posted about how much I didn't like Chrome, Google's browser. Well I am back on Chrome now because Firefox is getting more and more issues, such as pausing every few seconds and I have to sit there and wait for it to catch up with me.

Well, Chrome has been improved since the last time I used it. I like the streamline look, the minimalism, being able to put my most used bookmarks at the top in the bookmarks bar, being able to sync my favourites to my google account so that I will never lose them, being able to drag text boxes to make them bigger, and being able to type my google searches into the address bar. It also has nice looking themes, unlike Firefox

Only thing I don't like is that it has a spell checker issue, and it doesn't support html-editing.

3 women

Posted in 'Random stuff' on April 8, 2010

Three friends married women from different parts of the world.....The first man married a Filipino. He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away.

The second man married a Thai. He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn’t see any results, but the next day he saw it was better.By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.

The third man married an Aussie. He ordered her to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn’t see anything, the second day he didn't see anything but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye.
