Netbook and cold

Today I received the Dell Inspiron Mini netbook that R bought for me as a becoming-a-student-present:) It will also come in handy when we go away in June, because then we don't have transport a 17'' laptop, we can just take the netbook. It is perfect for me, because it's a Dell, and I like Dell computers, and it's also baby blue on the outside, which is my favourite colour:)

It came with Windows 7 Starter. I have no idea why they decided to put that operating system on it, rather than a proper version, and the stupid thing about it is that you can't change the background image. Confident that there must be a way around it, I googled it and found several sites that said, 'Nope, can't be done'. But when I told R he didn't accept it, so he went and googled it too, and then managed to find software that will change the background for you.

I chose a kitten image:)

On an unrelated note, I have come down with a cold, and R once again proved what a perfect boyfriend he is, by driving me to the chemist to get Codral (which makes you feel better when you are sick, by providing pain relief, decongesting and helping you sleep at night) and he is making me dinner tonight, with lots of garlic in it. (I normally make dinner because R works a lot and I don't.)

He's so good to me:)

Click here to read or add comments.
